The Play-Date Artsy-Fartsy Studio ( “The PD” ) is an online ingathering for self-care and community through making playful “art.”
The PD will start Sept 20, 2023 and run through Jan 24, 2024.
The experience is expressly reserved for those who have encountered grief. While not the primary focus, if grief comes up for you while working on your art, no worries. However, the prompts are all well-rounded and intended to help you move your playful artist muscles.

The PD is a monthly membership where we reclaim time to express, explore, and play - using creativity as real self-care. Each week at The PD there is a new prompt for art facilitated by Kim Go. Artsy stuff is made with materials of your choice. You can attend The PD on Zoom or create art privately from the prompts (some inspired by my hero Lynda Barry, renowned graphic novelist and 2019 MacArthur Fellow!) No art knowledge or experience required! Messy is best. Follow Your Enthusiasms!

Join the membership by contributing a free-will donation / self-investment (amount you determine) each month to access that month’s live sessions, prompts, and the FB community. Donate here and message me on FB that you have registered. Sign up by the Sunday BEFORE the Wednesday you want to begin to insure that you get into the FB group in time! Donate to sign up for the whole series or donate monthly.

Drop-in to Zoom live sessions every Wednesday from 1:30 - 2:30 PM EST / 10:30 - 11:30 AM PST.

Questions? Message me to learn more. Upon sign-up you will receive an email with more info as well.

SHORT-FORM JOURNALING

Free-will Donation to Register for Short-Form Journaling Course

Life can be so stressful when there has been a death in your circle of family, friends, colleagues or affiliations. Some people may laugh at me for proposing that you add journaling to your life at a time like this.

In fact, I do not recommend a journaling program like this to most people who are newly grieving unless they are already a journaling person. Early on, when grief is extremely fresh and acute, most people need to focus on fundamental habits such as drinking water, eating nutritious food, protecting their sleep and getting some physical activity. They need to spend time looking for loving people to share their pain with. Some do write, many are sporadic at best.

But, for many people, the later phases of grieving provides quite a bit of spaciousness that often comes - and it can be a time to embrace some additional habits that will support expansion of your life and world. Perhaps that is you.

That is what this program is for.
