If you’ve stumbled across this website, it’s most likely because you are bereaved or you are supporting someone in your life who is grieving. First, and foremost, I am sorry. I am sorry you are going through one of the hardest possible encounters a person can go through. I am sorry you no longer have your loved one in your arms. One of the most important things for you to know is you are not alone. Alive and Mortal is comprised of a community - and through our attachments we are all surviving and many are thriving.
I am glad you are here.
THESE ARMS ARE HONED AS AN EXPERIENCED EVENT PRODUCER AND MINISTER. YOU CAN TRUST ME WHEN YOU PUT YOUR MEMORIAL, CELEBRATION OF LIFE OR ANY SERVICE AFTER A LOSS IN MY ARMS.
You can draw on my previous career as an event producer - who ran events as large as 4,000+ attendees per day - and my experience as an interfaith minister.
Your service is a singular event... and this gathering of loved ones will never happen in this particular way again. This is a "sacred" time - a time set apart from the ordinary. I am experienced in holding the tender, profound energy of your sacred moments.
I perform ceremonies and services because I love doing it and know it is a sacred thing. It is an honor to be invited into the important moments of people's lives. Every service is unique. Whether it is a memorial, baby dedication, renewal of vows or a wedding... I enjoy bringing people together and focusing on the things that matter most in this life. We can blend faith traditions or create something entirely new!

I am a interfaith Minister, former minister of Congregational Life, a public speaker, coach, author, ritual celebrant and expressive facilitator.
My study-guide for the book Entering the Healing Ground by Francis Weller is currently being used internationally, including in "Healing Circles for Grief and Loss" via Commonweal and I have published articles and a book chapter for Open to Hope.
I am a member of the International Expressive Arts Society.
I have taken post-graduate studies through the American Art Therapy Association.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts and Music, and a Master’s degree in Theology (M.Div).
From pretty early on, I preferred the deeper spaces of human interaction and loved engaging wholeheartedly. My losses made me dive even deeper:
⁃ my father's death in early childhood
⁃ near-death experience in my adolescence
⁃ divorce in young adulthood
⁃ fertility challenges
⁃ death of my soul mate and life partner
⁃ loss of access to step children after their father's death
⁃ surviving a mugging
⁃ surviving an assault
⁃ multiple pet losses
⁃ suicide of two close friends
Due to my early encounters with death from the age of 4, I was always asking questions. When it was age-appropriate, I began studying physical impermanence, spirituality and creativity from about 14 years of age.
Needless to say, I have seen much of what is out there and a lions-share of it is unhelpful and even, at times, very damaging.
Therefore, here we are.
My Masters of Divinity included a focus on spiritual formation through nature and creative arts - visual, auditory and expressive. My bachelors was in theatrical set design, lighting design and music. I served as an interfaith chaplain for homeless women and trained with the Zen Hospice Project and Hospice of the Valley.
