Appointments

Sessions are by telephone or Zoom and you can select which at the time you make an appointment.

Before committing to regularly meet, we can schedule a free first appointment—time to discuss your situation, questions, and expectations and have space for you to express where you find yourself at this time.

Beyond an initial appointment, I work on a donation basis. Average donation might run in the range of $80. However, some donate more, some donate less and some need a barter / gift-economy arrangement.

I serve people all over the United States and several countries.

If my available appointment times do not work for you, reach out to me and we can look at some possible alternatives. Thank you.
Rescheduling a session is done with 24-hour notice; if you do not reschedule, the appointment is considered complete.

DESCRIPTION OF WHAT A SESSION LOOKS LIKE:

When you “tend to’ something, you actively watch over and care for it. Tending often is used as a word to describe working with a garden to assist its natural inclination for flourishing. It can also mean “tending” a fire to keep everyone warm.

Tending is the activity of meeting together to focus on what you are working with or on. We do this so that your natural propensity for meaning and warmth are attended to.

The Tending relationship is a co-created mentoring relationship based on open communication and trust. The client sets the pace and goals for each session.

This type of support will effectively meet the needs of about 90% of people along with peer support, support groups, reading, exercise, and meditating. Truly complicated grief, by clinical definition, is only experienced by about 10% of people. These people will benefit by receiving all of the above and, in addition, expert help - medications and psychological therapy are a normal course of action for these people.
